The Dum-Dum is an annual celebration of the life and works of Edgar Rice Burroughs, named for the ceremonial gathering of the great apes in his Tarzan stories.
It moves around the country, held by different groups each year. After an organisational meeting in Pittsburgh, PA in 1960, it was first held in Cincinnati, OH in 1961 and has been held in most years since (there were no official Dum-Dums between 1984 and 1989).
It will be held in Arizona for the first time in 2019, in Willcox, where Burroughs served in the military. It will be co-sponsored by the Apache Devils chapter of the Burroughs Bibliophiles and the Sulphur Springs Valley Historical Society.
I'm not seeing a logo yet so I've added last year's from Morgan City, LA for now. I'm not seeing a website yet either, but there are many details at the ERBZine's Dum-Dum page.
