Phoenix FearCon

Overview

Phoenix FearCon was founded by Jim & Chris McLennan of Trash City as the Phoenix Fear Film Festival, a horror film festival with convention extras, but it grew into Phoenix FearCon, a fully fledged horror convention with a film track.

It expanded to two days in 2014 and was sponsored by Fangoria in 2016. A notorious venue hopper, it found a permanent home at Sun Studios of Arizona in 2016 and it's now become an annual event.

  3. Phoenix FearCon 2020 was originally intended to be held physically, at Sun Studios of Arizona, but it chose to go virtual because of concerns over COVID-19 rather than cancel. Dates were also extended to run from 16th October to 31st December.
