AppleloosaCon (archive.org) was a planned gathering of fans of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic in Phoenix, hosted by the United Bronies of Arizona, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. It was originally scheduled for April 2013 (19th to 21st), but was moved to October in the wake of the collapse of Las Pegasus Unicon in Las Vegas in February, a disastrous event that rocked Brony fandom. It was cancelled two months out, following the resignation of the convention director due to family issues, and others having no information about what had or hadn't been done. In addition to Peter New, the voice of Big Macintosh, who was the featured guest, AppleloosaCon also listed Solrac/Yaplap, band Agiledash, animator Zedrin (Silly Filly) and artists SClyra and Askapplejack as guests. |
