LunaCon (keicollective.com) was a pop culture convention set up as an alternative to Taiyou Con in 2022, in response to the controversy over how sexual assault allegations against the owner of Taiyou Con were being handled by that convention. LunaCon was a "free to attend, not for profit event" at the Kei Collective store within Pierce Plaza, with all proceeds donated to the Arizona Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence. Even though it was set up at the last minute, it ran for three days, featured two guests and showcased a variety of programming, including a cosplay contest and an alt fashion show. |
