The Phoenix Faerie Festival, run under the banner of the Fireland Faerie Nation Inc, was an outdoor family fun event celebrating the folklore and fantasy of the faerie realms. It collected fine artists, musicians, dancers, performance artists and craftspeople from all over the US, along with magical attractions such as Moon Mermaid, Unicorn Rides, Real Pirates, the Goblin Market and a visit from the Faerie Queens Mab and Titania. It was founded in 2006 by Rowan Wakefield and coordinated by her from 2007 till 2011. The inaugural fest was held in Queen Creek but the event then moved to Estrella Park in Goodyear until a family health crisis sadly meant a hiatus for the event. In 2013, Robert Landensak was invited to make the dream his own and he refashioned the event as the OtherWorlds Festival. |
