Phoenix FearCon

Overview

Phoenix FearCon was founded by Jim & Chris McLennan of Trash City as the Phoenix Fear Film Festival, a horror film festival with convention extras, but it grew into Phoenix FearCon, a fully fledged horror convention with a film track.

Over time, it expanded from one day to usually two and from every other year to every year. It's a notorious venue hopper which has been held at seven different venues over eleven years, not including their virtual year on Zoom.

  3. Phoenix FearCon 2020 was originally intended to be held physically, at Sun Studios of Arizona, but it chose to go virtual because of concerns over COVID-19 rather than cancel. Dates were also extended to run from 16th October to 31st December.
