Saboten Con

Overview

Saboten Con is an anime convention that's been held in the Phoenix metropolitan area since 2008. Background It was founded by Square Egg Entertainment, the parent company of what is now Phoenix Fan Fusion, to fill a gap created by the cancelled AniZona 4. Square Egg ran the first three events, then Monkey Paw Entertainment took over and still runs the event today. Monkey Paw also took over Con-Nichiwa in Tucson in 2011 and started Kikori Con in Flagstaff in 2013.

Notes

Saboten Con was cancelled in 2020 due to concerns over COVID-19. However, as it celebrated its fifteenth year anniversary in 2023, the numbering presumably skipped that year.
