North American Science Fiction Convention

Overview

The North American Science Fiction Convention (or, more commonly, NASFiC) is an convention dedicated to science fiction that is hosted whenever Worldcon is held outside North America.

Like Worldcon, it's owned by the World Science Fiction Society but hosted by different organisations annually. It was first held in Los Angeles, CA in 1975 and the thirteenth and currently last was in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 2017. Because the Worldcon is in Dublin in 2019, the NASFiC will be happening again, this time in Layton, UT. Arizona hosted it once, in 1987.
